Ride wanted - does anyone have room in their car for two people to travel between the wedding and the reception? We'd also be willing to share cab fare. We're also looking for a ride/cab fare share between the reception and the Comfort Inn. If interested, email me at aeichmeier@hotmail.com.

Alison and I are still trying to get airfare at a reasonable price, but so far haven't managed to find anything too cheap, but we'll keep looking! We really want to make it!

Michael -- you would not believe who Brandon and I saw TOTALLY RANDOMLY tonight. I hope Joy tells you the story of our conversation because... it's unreal.
Congratulations to you both! Brandon and I am so incredibly happy for you both! YAY!

Hi. I attempted to contact emmime@yahoo.com re her request for roommates, but the email came back "no such Yahoo account". So, if Emmi is still looking and has a different email address, or someone else is in the same situation, here is my request:
Hi Emmi,
Have you booked roommates for the wedding yet? I notice your message is still on their website. I am Edie's Mom Iris's first cousin, so I am of her generation. I live in Maryland and would be coming up just for the wedding and reception, so the only night I would consider staying over is Sun. July 9. There are trains back the same night, something I would do when I was younger, but now it might be questionable, although possible.
Thanks,
Mary Selles

And more on dress code: "Black tie invited" just means semi-formal to formal. Probably like what you'd wear to another evening wedding. This is basically between "black tie" and "black tie optional" -- another way to say it would be "black tie encouraged but not required". We won't turn anyone away, of course.
Is everything clear as mud by now? :)

For everyone who's been asking about dress code for the various events:
Friday evening and Saturday morning are "business casual," but if you're on your way into town and running late, don't worry about changing out of your jeans etc.
Sunday evening is "black tie invited." If you've got a tux or evening dress, feel free to wear it; otherwise, a dark suit, cocktail dress, or other semi-formal attire is fine.

Congratulations to a wonderful couple. This is an this exciting time.
I have another possible hotel to add to the list. It is the Millburn, 242 West 76 St., at Broadway, phone number 212-362-1006. It is an older hotel, and when I stayed there a number of years ago, the room was spacious and comfortably furnished. Their regular rates are $149 for a single room and $164 for a double, plus taxes, of course. At this date, they have rooms available for July 6-9.

Dear Joy & Michael
First, congratulations on your marriage and with creating this amazing website. I love it!! The "MAPS" are terrific! And the photos section is a great idea. I will have to dig down deep to see if I have any photos to share. My favourite passtime is jumping into this website to see if there are any new updates. July 9th is fast approaching and I am looking forward to celebrating this very special day with you both. Happy planning and please don't forget to ask for help!! With love, Jane Gauthier

We realize that New York City can be an expensive place to stay. If you are concerned about the cost of accommodations, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will arrange hospitality. It's more important that you be able to come.
